Time is running out…a study in personification

Grace and I are feeling our way through the whole Language Arts thing.   We use Shurley English because of the excellent sentence graphing and organized approach to writing.   We enjoy the Sonlight Language Arts because of the creativity and variety in the assignments, and we’re using Wordly Wise for vocabulary building and test preparation.  Last summer we started Wordsmith Apprentice, and will pick it up and finish it off this summer. Art Class

While it is true that The Daughter is taking a wonderful Studio Art Class at Homeschool Plus, there is absolutely nothing like taking advantage of current events to provide enrichment to your child’s homeschooling experience.  Snow days are no exception! Here our student worked on an art project – a sculpture of a cat with a ball of yarn – using snow as her medium of expression!  Which is fancy homeschool talk for making a snow cat!
